ICZ Slovakia a. s. has been the National Administrator of the Slovak part of the Union Registry since 1 January 2013. Based on a contract with the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, the company is responsible for managing a set of user accounts falling under the jurisdiction of the Member State within the registry and for ensuring accurate record-keeping regarding the issuance, registration, allocation, holding, transfer and cancellation of allowances.
The National Administrator opens and maintains in the Union Registry a stationary installation holding account for each installation that has a permit issued by the relevant district office, an aircraft operator holding account and a maritime operator holding account based on instruction of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, a person holding account and a trading account upon a request from a natural or legal person. In performing its activities, it proceeds in accordance with specific legal regulations.
